About CFR

Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is a five-person team within the University of New Mexico Foundation that builds bridges between private organization funders and the faculty and staff of the university. We manage relationships between UNM and corporations, foundations and other organizations and act as the central clearinghouse for information for organizations, as well as for UNM faculty and staff. We advise organizations about how to partner with the university and provide guidance for grantmaking and gift stewardship.

Grants and donations from private foundations, corporations, and other organizations make up a significant portion of the University’s fundraising totals each year. In large part, this has been accomplished by understanding the work of faculty and staff, listening closely to the goals of funders, and matching those interests to create positive relationships.
