Jennifer Klass to Leave the UNM Foundation

Jennifer Klass, a School of Medicine development director for the past two years, has decided to leave the UNM Foundation, effective Sept. 4, to explore other opportunities within our community. “During her time with us, Jennifer was able to grow relationships with key partners in the Departments of Pediatrics and OB/GYN. Those relationships led to many new gifts including the creation of a new professorship in OB/GYN,” said Vice President of HSC Development Bill Uher. If you see Jennifer before she leaves, please thank her for her service to the Foundation and to UNM’s School of Medicine. We wish Jennifer all the best!

September is Fruits & Veggies – More Matters Month!

More than 90 percent of both adults and children do not eat the amount of fruits and vegetables recommended by the latest USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the MyPlate nutrition guide. Just remember two things: fill half your plate with fruits and veggies at every eating occasion (including snacks) AND all forms—fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100 percent juice—count toward your daily intake!

The Fruits & Veggies – More Matters website offers great information, including the Dietary Guidelines and the MyPlate nutrition guide mentioned above. We hope each of you will take some time to peruse this useful website!
