Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis Research Fund

This fund will support research associated with the treatment of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. The project is a controlled study of a novel approach to treating Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) involving a coordinated care combination of stretching muscles, releasing fascial restriction, and improving joint function as well as having the children perform exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles, release fascial tension, and improve joint function. This project represents the only AIS approach other than surgery that actually may decrease the spinal curvature and rib hump in some subjects.
