Professor Beth Moody Jones Endowed Scholarship for Physical Therapy

Raising $50,000 for scholarships by 2024, the 50th anniversary of the UNM Physical Therapy Program

Dr. Beth Moody Jones PT, DPT, EdD, MS, received her Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 1982, her Masters in Physical Therapy in orthopedics and biomechanics from Old Dominion University in 1994, her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from AT Still University in 2004, and her EdD in Educational Leadership from UNM in 2018.

Throughout her teaching career she has maintained a clinical practice and successfully sat for her Orthopaedic Certification Specialization (OCS) in 2002 and re-certification in 2011. Dr. Moody Jones was appointed Division Chief in 2018.

Her research agenda includes anatomical variation, manual therapy and validation of special tests related to the spine.

Dr. Jones established this scholarship to honor all Emeriti Physical Therapy Faculty who influenced the success of our students and alumni. The scholarship will support UNM’s most outstanding PT students in their final semester.
