Building on its history of community engagement, DPAC partners with state agencies, non-profits, university departments and centers, and communities to improve the vitality of communities in the Southwest. The Center aids communities in articulating goals and plans for their built environment including streets, landscapes, public and private buildings, and public artwork. The underlying goals are to improve the quality of life, public health, economic climate, environmental resilience, and pride of place in communities, and to educate the next generation of professionals in community engagement.
