Vice President of University Development, Larry Ryan, has served in this role since 2011 and oversees major gift development efforts for main academic units where he played a critical role in the Changing Worlds 2020 campaign. Prior to his current position at the UNM Foundation, he led the UNM Athletics fundraising program from 2005 until 2011. He initially returned to UNM in 2005 after spending the previous three years as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics at the University of Evansville in Indiana. He was the UNM Lobo Club’s Director of Annual Giving from 2000-02, during which he directed all aspects of the annual Lobo Club membership drive.
Larry is a graduate of California State University, San Bernardino, where his development career began as a student caller for the CSUSB annual fund.
Larry and his wife, Miriam, reside in Albuquerque with their two children.
