Raquel LeCesne is the Director of Trustee Relations & Development for the UNM Foundation and began her employment for the UNM Foundation in 2001. In this role, she is the primary liaison for UNMF Trustees and manages overall governance through committee related initiatives in concert with other Foundation leadership. Ms. LeCesne advises, plans and administers appropriate operational/governance strategy as directed by the Trustees. Additionally, Ms. LeCesne coordinates regional philanthropic events and champions major gift development efforts on behalf of the Foundation and University. Prior to this role, she served as a Development Coordinator and Senior Administrative Officer for the Health Sciences Center at UNM.
Ms. LeCesne began her career at the US Department of Energy, working at DOE from 1989-2000 in Environment, Safety and Health Divisions. At the Department, she served as a budget coordinator, Contracting Officer Representative and an administrator for lead accident investigations.
Ms. LeCesne resides in Corrales, New Mexico with her husband, Todd and three children Evan, Aliyah, and Amari.
