Cheryl Fossum Graham
Dr. Cheryl Fossum Graham retired from a 38 year career in pharmaceutical discovery, research, development and marketing in 2015. She began her career in 1977 doing research on safety issues with human medicinal products, a focus which she would retain throughout her career. In 1978, she joined the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a Medical Officer holding positions of increasing responsibility in various Divisions of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and the Office of the FDA Commissioner. After leaving the FDA in 1993, Cheryl began consulting with a variety of large pharmaceutical companies and small biotech firms, first as part of a small consulting firm in the DC Metro area and then as a Vice President of Quintiles, Inc. In 1999, she joined Pfizer Global Research and Development as Vice President for US Regulatory Affairs, but quickly became Senior Vice President for Worldwide Regulatory Affairs as Pfizer went through a period of rapid acquisition growth. After retiring from Pfizer in 2005, Cheryl continued her commitment to human drug safety through a variety of affiliations including Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Knopp Neurosciences, Regulatory Scientist at the law firm of Hyman, Phelps & McNamara, and a Senior Fellow at FDA. Dr. Fossum Graham received a BS in Pharmacy, a BS in Biology, a MS in Biology and an MD, all at the University of New Mexico.
