Gary Dushane is a CPA and was a partner at KPMG LLP in Albuquerque. During his time with KPMG, he was the lead partner for numerous large clients, including the Navajo Nation, Sunwest Bank, American Furniture Company, United New Mexico Financial Corp., and SBS Technologies.
He served as the Managing Partner for Albuquerque and El Paso, Partner in Charge of the Southwest Areas’ Assurance Based Advisory Services practice, and a member of the National Advisory Services committee.
In 2001, Gary relocated to Chicago as Area Managing Partner – Advisory for the Midwest Area (19 offices) where he developed and served as the global lead partner for BP, as well as serving as partner on McDonalds, City of Chicago, and Accenture among other clients. In 2005, he received the Outstanding Global Achievement Award for his work in leading the BP Global account team.
In 2008, after 33 years with KPMG LLP, he retired. He continues to provide consulting services to several organizations in the area of strategy and instructs at the Wharton School’s Global Leadership Program. Throughout his career, Gary has been involved in various civic and charitable organizations both in Albuquerque and Chicago.
Gary, a native Californian, earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA in 1973 and 1975, respectively, and in 2003 was elected to the UNM Anderson School of Management’s Hall of Fame.
