Lameck “Humble” Lukanga
Lameck S. “Humble” Lukanga was born in Uganda, a 3rd world country in East Africa, where he spent the first 11 years of his life enduring civil wars, genocide, and poverty. He and his family were granted a political asylum, allowing them to come to the United States to seek refuge, which he says “has made all the difference.”
Mr. Lukanga is a graduate from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. During his collegiate years at UNM, he was designated by New Mexico Business Weekly as one of their “Top 40 Under Forty” business leaders and one of the “Top 10 People To Watch” by Albuquerque The Magazine. Mr. Lukanga is the founder of Beverly Hills, California-based Life Line Financial Group, one of the top financial management firms that manages the wealth and business affairs for professional athletes, entertainers and business executives.
In addition to his numerous business and social entrepreneurship activities as well as serving on numerous boards, Mr. Lukanga is also an avid philanthropist and inspirational speaker. He has spoken at youth detention centers, high schools, and universities throughout the country, including delivering the UNM commencement address to the Spring 2014 graduating class. He lives in Denver with his wife, Heidi, who is also a UNM graduate.
