Jeff Todd
President and CEO

Jeff Todd has served as President and CEO of The University of New Mexico Foundation since 2019, working in close alignment with an engaged and highly supportive Board of Trustees and guiding a dedicated and talented professional team committed to expanding the role of philanthropy in transforming lives across New Mexico. With four decades of experience in higher education advancement, Jeff has championed a deeper, more strategic alignment between the University and its philanthropic mission, anchoring the Foundation’s work in student success, research, health care, and economic impact.
As part of UNM President Steve Goldstein senior leadership team, Jeff has helped shape UNM 2040, the long-term vision for the University’s future. He has worked closely with colleagues across the Foundation and University to integrate philanthropy into that roadmap, not as an afterthought but as a fundamental engine for progress. This collaborative work has laid the foundation for the University’s next comprehensive campaign. Under Jeff’s leadership, the Foundation’s performance has been strong and sustained, with average annual fundraising growing from a three-year average of $93 million to more than $120 million—a reflection of a team deeply aligned around mission, accountability, and results.
Before joining UNM, Jeff served as Associate Vice President of Alumni and Executive Director of Alumni UBC at The University of British Columbia. He co-directed UBC’s start an evolution campaign—the largest fundraising and alumni engagement initiative in Canadian history at its launch. Later, as UBC’s Interim Vice President of Development and Alumni Engagement, he helped chart the next phase of philanthropic growth, building momentum for the University’s future. His advancement experience also includes service to Oregon State University, The University of Arizona, and his alma mater, The College of Wooster, where he started his career in advancement.
Jeff has served on the boards of CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), CCAE (Council of Alumni Association Executives), and CAAE (Canadian Council for Advancement of Education), which he also chaired. He remains active with CASE and the Association of Governing Boards (AGB).
Deidre Sandvick
Senior Vice President for Development

Deidre Sandvick is the Senior Vice President of Development at The University of New Mexico Foundation, where she leads the institution’s advancement enterprise, including development programs and marketing and communications. She also serves as campaign manager for UNM’s comprehensive campaign, guiding strategy, structure, and execution in partnership with university and foundation leadership.
With more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, Deidre is a seasoned advancement leader with deep expertise in major and principal gifts. Prior to joining UNM in January 2025, she spent 16 years at The University of Oregon, culminating in her role as Associate Vice President for Development, where she oversaw fundraising teams across all academic units. Her career spans academic units, regional fundraising, and cultural institutions, including the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the San Diego Opera.
In addition to her fundraising leadership, Deidre is recognized for advancing organizational culture. At Oregon, she led the development of an Advancement Employee Bill of Rights and accompanying procedures and trainings to better protect staff in their work with external constituents. This effort led to her role as a founding member of the Collaborative for a Respectful Workplace in Higher Education, which focuses on advocacy and education across the sector.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, she is fluent in Japanese. She holds a B.A. from The University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.A. from The University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Angela Janda
Interim Chief Financial Officer

Angela has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of The UNM Foundation since May 2026. She previously held the role of Managing Director of Finance. Angela came to the UNM Foundation after a decade in public accounting, most recently serving in the role of Consulting Director at Moss Adams x Baker Tilly, where she focused on empowering teams to provide accounting and consulting solutions to mission-driven organizations. Originally from rural Minnesota, Angela relocated to New Mexico after graduating with a BA in Women’s Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College. In 2014, Angela received a Master of Accounting degree from The Anderson School of Management at UNM.
Patrick (Pat) Allen
General Counsel

Patrick Allen joined The UNM Foundation as General Counsel in May 2017. From 1991 until his arrival at the Foundation, Mr. Allen worked in the private practice of law, spending the last 17 years as a managing shareholder of the Albuquerque law firm Yenson, Allen & Wosick, P.C. There, he concentrated his litigation practice on employment law, governmental liability, constitutional law, civil rights, and insurance law. Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Political Science from James Madison University in 1988 and earned his Juris Doctor from The Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1991. Additionally, Mr. Allen is highly involved in community service. Among other commitments, he has served lengthy terms on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Central New Mexico and the Board of Trustees for Sandia Preparatory School.
Gretchen Doyle
Senior Associate Vice President of Human Resources

Senior Associate Vice President of Human Resources: Gretchen Doyle joined The UNM Foundation executive team in April 2011. She leads the planning, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Foundation’s human resources programs and strategic talent initiatives.
With more than 32 years of human resources experience, including extensive executive leadership, she brings broad expertise in talent management, compensation strategy, organizational development, employee relations, compliance, and change management. Her career began at Buffalo General Hospital in upstate New York, and before joining the Foundation, she served as Director of Human Resources for the Mind Research Network in New Mexico. In 2005, she received the Chapter President’s Award for Outstanding Leadership from the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration of the American Hospital Association for her work with The New Mexico Healthcare Human Resources Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services from The State University of New York at Buffalo and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from The UNM Anderson School of Management.
As the Foundation continues to grow and evolve, Gretchen has helped shape a culture of collaboration, connection, and shared purpose. In partnership with a highly dedicated HR team, she brings employees together, strengthens engagement across the organization, and ensures that people practices support the Foundation’s mission, goals, and long-term success.
Kristine Purrington
Interim Vice President of University Development

Vice President of University Development, Kristine Purrington, has served in this role since July 2026 and has been with The UNM Foundation since 2013. Kristine oversees major gift development efforts for the main campus academic units. Prior to this role, Kristine has served as the Executive Director of Development for The UNM College of Fine Arts where she provided extensive leadership in the acquisition of major fundraising gifts. Kristine has also provided key leadership to The School of Architecture & Planning, The College of University Libraries, and The Honors College.

Anndee Wright Brown is a seasoned advancement and executive leader with deep institutional and community knowledge and a track record of aligning people, strategy, and resources to achieve ambitious goals. For more than 15 years she has built strong relationships across The UNM Foundation with key stakeholders and is recognized for leading complex initiatives that require collaboration, trust-building, and results-focused execution.
Her leadership foundation was shaped through more than two decades as an entrepreneur and executive, during which she helped grow a local business from a small “mom and pop” operation into a multi-million-dollar operation before departing in 2011. This experience honed her strengths in strategic planning, resource management, team leadership, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and achievement—skills she has since leveraged in her development career.
At The UNM Foundation, Wright Brown has advanced philanthropic priorities through leadership roles supporting the University’s fundraising efforts and strengthening development operations. She most recently served as Executive Director of Development for UNM Hospitals and UNM Children’s Hospital, bringing a service-oriented mindset and a commitment to mentoring and supporting teams while helping position the Foundation for continued growth and impact.

Vice President of Development at The Health Sciences Center, William (Bill) Uher oversees the development activities of UNM Hospitals, Sandoval Regional Medical Center, UNM’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, The School of Medicine, The College of Nursing, The College of Pharmacy, and The College of Population Health. Mr. Uher previously served as the Associate Vice President for Development, overseeing main campus development efforts. He has been with The UNM Foundation since 2006, having started as the Development Officer for UNM’s School of Law and later for the College of Arts and Sciences, UNM’s largest academic unit. A proud UNM alumnus, he graduated in 1995 with a degree in Communication and Journalism. He also holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from Northpark University. Mr. Uher is a native of New Mexico and stays active with numerous outdoor activities.
Trish Idarola
Chief Digital Strategy and Solutions Officer

Trish Idarola is the Chief Digital Strategy and Solutions Officer of Digital Strategy, Services & Analytics at The University of New Mexico Foundation. Trish joined the Foundation in September 2015 as the Director of Prospect Development and was promoted to her current position in July 2021. She has over 20 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit advancement services. Before joining The UNM Foundation, Trish was the Director of Prospect Research and Management for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Trish also served as the Senior Manager of Prospect Research and Data Administration at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. Before her time with Make-A-Wish, Trish spent almost 10 years with The University of South Florida Foundation, serving as the Director of Prospect Management and Research as well as the Director of Central Records. Trish is a recognized speaker at Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) conferences. Trish earned her degree from The University of South Florida. She is an accomplished artist who volunteers for various health and wellness causes.
Jalen Dominguez
Vice President of Athletics Development

Jalen Dominguez began his role as Vice President of Athletics Development in August 2026.
Jalen has been an integral part of Lobo Athletics since 2016, rising through the ranks from Assistant Athletic Director for Development to Senior Associate Athletic Director and Executive Director of the Lobo Club. During his time at UNM Athletics, the Lobo Club has set multiple fundraising records and recently launched the Lobo Alliance, the partnership between UNM Athletics 505 Sports Venture Foundation.
Prior to his tenure as Executive Director of the Lobo Club, Jalen, a native of Albuquerque, served on The UNM Foundation’s executive leadership team and oversaw a sales and service team at UCLA and worked in the Wooden Athletic Fund, UCLA Athletics’ fundraising arm.
Jalen has helped secure over $40 million for UNM Athletics, including multiple leadership gifts. He has played a key role in the restructuring of the Lobo Club and has led the team in breaking year-high fundraising goals. He has also been instrumental in several large facility projects, including the 2023 opening of the New Mexico Mutual Champions Training Center.
Jalen also oversaw the President’s Club, an annual fundraising effort for the President’s Office. Before returning to his hometown of Albuquerque, Dominguez worked at UCLA from June 2012 to September 2014, first as an account executive and then as Associate Director of Development and Ticket Sales. As an account executive, Jalen earned over $1 million in new revenue in his 16 months before his promotion. Jalen also worked as a Development Intern for UNM and the Lobo Club from 2009-2011.
Dominguez holds a pair of degrees, an M.A. in Sports Administration from UNM (2011) and a B.S. in Business Administration from New Mexico State (2008). Dominguez was also a member of the Aggies Men’s Basketball program while attending NMSU. Both of Jalen’s parents, Jeronimo and Meave, earned their Ph.D. from The University of New Mexico. Dominguez and his wife Stephanie have a son, Luke, and a daughter, Grace.
