The role of the foundation
The UNM Foundation is a separate 501(c)3 charitable organization that exists solely to support students, research, and learning at UNM.

The Importance of Philanthropy
In this last five years, more than $600 million in private support has been given to The University of New Mexico. These gifts directly support UNM’s mission of student and faculty success, world-class research and exceptional patient care at clinics and hospitals.
